An illustrated homage to Italian football heritage
We’re proud to present a special collaboration between Pouchain Sportswear and renowned illustrator Peter O’Toole, based in Huddersfield, England. With over 15 years of experience, Peter has developed a distinct visual language—melding mid-century print aesthetics with modern design sensibilities.
A lifelong football enthusiast with a deep appreciation for cultural history, Peter has turned his eye to the iconic kits of Serie A’s golden era. As part of this collaboration, Peter reimagined some of Pouchain’s most unique jersey designs in his unmistakable style—celebrating the legacy of Italian football through bold lines, rich textures, and authentic detail.
Several of the illustrations from this partnership feature in his book, Serie A: An Illustrated History — a 56-page visual tribute showcasing 850 kits worn by Italian clubs during the 1980s.
This collab bridges football culture, graphic design, and nostalgia, honouring the kits that defined a generation—now brought to life through art.
